We have collected a set of questions that our doctors most often hear and share. If you have more questions you are free to drop in to our office or give us a call and our friendly member of our team will be happy to assist you.
When should my child first see the dentist?
At Fox river dental care, we see children as soon as they have all their baby teeth, but no later than age one. We love working with kids to make sure they have a positive experience every time they visit our office. Getting your child started on a lifetime of good oral health care habits is one of the best things we can do for them.
The goal of the first visit is for us to meet them and let them see that going to the dentist is fun. We’ll give them a ride in the chair, count their teeth, and show them how to brush.
We understand how important it is that we gradually get your child used to being around us in the office environment. Our professional team takes all the time necessary to treat your children with the special attention they need to help them feel safe and secure.
As parents, we know that you probably have concerns about your child’s first trip to the dentist.

Do you have payment plans?
The cost of medical and dental treatments is a big concern for everyone these days. If you’re not insured, you may feel like you have to choose between quality dental care and finances. At Fox river dental care, we want to make it possible for you and your family to get the treatments you need without a lot of stress.
One of the ways we do this is by working with CareCredit, an interest-free financing option. CareCredit is used for certain health and wellness services like dental, vision, cosmetic treatments, and even veterinary expenses. You can make easy monthly payments, and as long as payment is complete within the agreed period, you won’t be charged any interest. Applying is easy, and most patients can get an answer back within minutes. If you’re interested in CareCredit, please give us a call!
If you have questions about payment plans at Fox river dental care, we encourage you to give us a call. Our goal is to help you maintain a healthy smile, so we’ll do everything we can to work with your budget.

What's the difference between tooth-colored and silver fillings?
For decades silver (amalgam) fillings were used because they were the most durable material available at the time. Today, we can use tooth-colored fillings (composites) at our dental office that are every bit as strong as amalgam.
The most noticeable difference between the two materials is the obvious dark spot that an amalgam filling leaves in your mouth. These fillings aren’t typically used in front teeth that are visible when you smile. But you still have to contend with the dark chunk of silver material in back teeth when you open wide!
On the other hand, tooth-colored fillings are specifically designed to be esthetically pleasing. First, we have control over the shading of the material and can create a customized color for your filling that blends with your natural tooth. Also, the method for placing tooth-colored fillings at our dental office is very different from amalgam.
An amalgam filling basically just sits inside the prepared space. A tooth-colored filling is bonded securely to all surfaces of the tooth. This results in a filling that’s not only strong, but is also indistinguishable from the rest of the tooth.
At our office we also place tooth-colored fillings because of their strength, durability, and natural appearance. Please call today if you’d like to see the difference tooth-colored fillings can make to your beautiful smile!
Am I a candidate for full or partial dentures?
Full dentures are used when all teeth in an arch (upper, lower, or both) are missing. Partial dentures placed at our dental office are appropriate when you still have most of your natural teeth.
Where a full upper denture consists of a plate and a complete set of artificial teeth, partial dentures are made to fit in with your remaining teeth. Let’s say you’re missing all teeth except molars. We can create a partial denture that leaves space for the remaining molars and includes replacement teeth for those that are missing. In this case, the partial would attach securely to the molars with a metal clasp.
If you’re concerned that your partial dentures Tucson will look unnatural, we can put your fears to rest! Thanks to some significant advances in dental materials over the years, we can now work with our lab to create natural-looking partials that actually enhance the appearance of your smile!
We’ll talk to you about your expectations so that you’re thrilled with the final result. Not only will you smile again with confidence, but a set of partial dentures can do wonders for filling out your face and eliminating a sunken appearance.
If you are tired of living with missing teeth, please call our office. Whether you need partials or a complete set of dentures, we’ll discuss your needs and help you choose the option that’s just right for you.
What are Inman Aligners and how do they work?
Inman Aligners are an orthodontic treatment that’s referred to as lingual braces. The primary difference between lingual braces and traditional braces is that they’re secured to the back side of your teeth. This unique approach to orthodontic treatment allows you to smile freely without announcing to the world that you have braces.
Lingual braces are used to perfect slight misalignment of your front teeth. However, what our patients love most about Inman Aligners is that they produce beautiful results quickly – in some cases as little as six weeks.
Inman Aligners use a patented process that gently guides your front teeth into the ideal position. We can achieve results so quickly because, unlike other orthodontic treatment, we’re not trying to correct your dental bite. The goal of Inman Aligners is to address the alignment of front teeth that are visible when you smile.
We will work closely with you to talk about your goals, lifestyle. Our doctors will present all options and together we’ll decide which best suits your needs. Please give our office a call to arrange an orthodontic consultation.
Professional vs OTC Whitening Treatments
Are you looking for an effective teeth whitening treatment? You may be overwhelmed by all the products in your supermarket that offer amazing results. But do they really work? And if they do work, how much will you have to invest before you see the results you’re looking for?
These are all valid questions! The truth is that over-the-counter products can remove some surface discoloration, but you will never see results like those we can achieve with a professional teeth whitening treatment.
We’ve tried a lot of professional whitening products, and we’ve found that the revolutionary KöR Deep Bleaching & Whitening system is the best by far. A KöR whitening treatment offers benefits you won’t find with other whitening products.
Its proprietary formula is designed to penetrate deep inside dental enamel to lift out even the most stubborn stains and discoloration. In fact, KöR is so effective, that it’s the only whitener that can staining related to the antibiotic, tetracycline.
First, you’ll come to our dental office for a preliminary visit where we take impressions of your teeth. We use the impressions to customize whitening trays that fit perfectly and evenly cover the surfaces of your teeth.
Simply place the whitening gel in the trays and wear them every night at bedtime for about two weeks. At the end of the two-week period, we’ll have you return to our office for a final treatment. Just visit visit us once a year for subsequent touch-ups and you will enjoy KöR’s long-term benefits!
